Custom Url Information
The custom url option lets you to choose the name of your short url. By using this option, not only do you get a short url, you also get a url which is more intuitive and memorizable.

Example
Say you have visited the following url:

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=www.mariquita.com/im
ages/photogallery/strawberry.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mariq
uita.com/images/photogallery/s.html&h=478&w=639&sz=55&tbnid
=98T2y7KA9noJ:&tbnh=100&tbnw=133&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstraw
berry%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26c2coff%3D1

Now, by using a custom BigLNK, you can shorten it to something like this:

http://biglnk.com/strawberry

Hide url
With a custom url you can choose to hide the destination url from visitors view by keeping the BigLNK address in the browser address bar, while displaying the content of the destination url.

To utilize this option. Check the Hide checkbox when creating a custom url.

Change/Update desination url
After having made a custom url you are given a password, which you can use to change its destination.

This is great if for some reason you need to change the destination of your BigLNK. Say you had a BigLNK pointing to your homepage, but your host go out of business. Normally anyone wanting to visit your homepage would get an error message telling them the page does not exist. Now if you were using a BigLNK. You could simply change the destination url and people would  instantly get redirected to your new homepage.

Path Forwarding
Path forwarding makes your BigLNK work on any page of your site.

Say, your url is:

http://www.some-free-host.com/~michaels_place/

and you created a custom BigLNK called michael, which turns out like this:

http://biglnk.com/michael

Now, with path forwarding, if you want to access, say:

http://www.some-free-host.com/~michaels_place/friends_and_family.html

All you'd have to do to access that exact page through your BigLNK is:
